Where are you located?
We are located in East Elmhurst, right off of the Grand Central and Brooklyn Queens Expressway. Our address is: 84-02 Astoria Blvd East Elmhurst, NY 11370. Our storefront is located directly on the corner.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open 7 Days a week:
Mon: 10am-5pm
Tue-Thur: 9am-6:30pm
Fri: 9am-7pm
Sat: 7:30am-6:30pm
Sun:11am-5pm


What form of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Debit Cards and Credit Cards (VISA, MasterCard,and Discover). We do not accept American Express or Apple Pay. 

What time should I arrive?
We suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow ample time to check in. Please check in with our Front Desk who will escort you to our waiting area.

Can my friends/family wait in your salon during my appointment?
Our waiting area is very small, we only have space to accommodate clients receiving services. Due to limited seating, we kindly ask that you come alone to your appointment.

Can I bring my child to my appointment?
For everyone's safety, we kindly request that our guests make childcare arrangement for all children. Your child may visit our salon only if they have an appointment.

What services do you offer?
Whether you have curly hair, relaxed hair, you're transitioning from a relaxer, or you like keeping your curls straight, we do:cuts,roller sets, blowouts, color, two strand twist, weave , coils,formal styles, rod-sets, braids, relaxers, and much more! We now offer nail services, waxing and individual lashes.

How are consultations done?
Consultations are FREE and BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call the Jakari J Hair Salon at (718)429-3069 

ALL NEW CLIENTS must receive a FREE CONSULTATION before scheduling their first hair care appointment.
Consultations are complimentary and are designed to improve our overall service and your salon experience. The consultation is a 5-10 min conversation with a staff member to determine your hair care needs, desired results, length of time for service and pricing. 
There are NO SATURDAY CONSULTATIONS due to the high volume of scheduled clients being serviced on this day.


What should I do if I am running late for my appointment?
At Jakari J Salon , we want your salon experience to be as enjoyable as possible. In order to expedite your service, we ask that our clients arrive on time. We will do our best to ensure that your appointment begins on time and is completed in a timely fashion.
The salon cannot guarantee services to clients who arrive later than 15 minutes after their scheduled time. If you call to inform us that you are running late, we will offer a 15-minute grace period. However, the salon reserves the right to refuse service to clients who are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment.

However, if we are running behind schedule, we will call you in order to prevent you from having to wait. 

If I need to cancel my appointment?
Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This gives us ample time to schedule another client. Please provide 72 hours notice for group cancellations. Clients who fail to show for appointments may be asked to pre-pay for future services. First time, no show clients will be asked to reserve their future appointment with a credit card.Jakari J Salon  reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is a “no show” for more than two appointments.
